Collapsed Retaining Wall Repair at Susukan Public Cemetery is Completed

Repair on collapsed retaining wall with length 25 meters and height 2.5 meters at Susukan Public Cemetery (TPU)'s muslim graves block, Ciracas, East Jakarta had been repaired by East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency.

East Jakarta City Park and Forestry Sub-agency's Forestry and Green Belt Section Head, Atang Setiawan mentioned, the collapsed retaining wall was repaired using river stones and red bricks which plastered using cement to make it tidy.

"We deploy 8 unit personnel to repair it for about a month," he said, Monday (4/19).

According to him, this retaining wall was located next to guardrail of SMPN 174 Susukan and resident's house. It was collapsed due to heavy rain that caused landslide on last February. In order to strengthen its foundation, personnel installed concrete sloops every five meters.

"By installing retaining wall permanently, we hope there will be no landslide in the future," he stated.
